Fertilizers
Fertilizer placement in relation to the plant root zone is very important. Roots were generally thought to occupy the soil mass directly below the shrub canopy to the depth epoxy 1*1/2 feet or more. Recent studies have indicated that root depths are usually a maximum of 10 to 14 inches due to the naturally high oxygen concentration near the soil surface.
